US stock markets have fallen recently (7th March 2025) over concerns that President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China will lead to a wider trade war and hurt the US economy.
The S&P 500 index, which tracks 500 of the biggest companies in the US, fell again. However it stood at 5712 the day before Trump won the election on 4th November 2024, and is still marginally higher today at 5770 (7th March 2025).
