The Six Nations begins in February with England entering as defending champions and Grand Slam winners. After a hugely successful 2016 they are again favourites with perhaps Ireland looking to steal the crown from them having beaten New Zealand last August. While France, Italy, Scotland and Wales are capable of causing a shock at their respective home grounds it is hoped that, with the inclusion of bonus points for scoring four tries or more, the tournament is a wonderful spectacle of running rugby.– Alistair Murdoch.
With the tournament being completed within the space of six weeks injuries will play a factor and with England having the better squad depth it is difficult to see them loosening their grasp on the title. Perhaps their hardest fixture is the final game in Dublin against the Irish which may turn out to be a quest for another England Grand Slam.
